Striking Down Barriers: Kids Escaping Drugs Bowling Tournament Makes an Impact

Pins weren’t the only things falling at Transit Lanes on Sunday April 6th, 2025, barriers to recovery and hope were knocked down, too. The Kids Escaping Drugs Bowling Tournament brought together the community for an afternoon of fun and philanthropy, proving that the lanes are a perfect place for change to happen.

Roughly 175 enthusiastic bowlers, many of them high school students, gathered to support Kids Escaping Drugs, an organization dedicated to helping young people overcome substance use challenges. With every roll of the ball, participants reinforced the mission of empowerment, resilience, and recovery, showing that a little friendly competition can go a long way toward making a difference.

Beyond strikes and spares, the event raised over $10,000, an incredible sum that will go directly toward initiatives designed to support young people on their journey to wellness.
